I have the same problem today. My parter has stayed at home and all it states online is that the engineer is delayed. We have all the equipment so can’t figure why we need an engineer anyway. I am away and am unable to call and trying to find help online as to where the engineer is etc is proving impossible. I am going to be without internet for work now too

Was this in this respect of a new installation, or upgrade, or with a fault you had reported with an existing service?

If they missed a fixed appointment time, without telling you, then you are due automatic compensation, @Melharvey:
