Full Fibre 500 first day

Just had the full fibre 500 installed.  Does it take a while for the line to stabilise?  Getting download speeds of less than 20 Mbps.  Eero 6 pro being used.  Tested from multiple devices sitting right next to the router.

Router arrived on Friday after the engineer visit, but prior to that I had been on to TalkTalk support who told me no router was ever ordered, there had been an issue with the order, so probably going to have another one show up.  Speeds seem to have settled down now.

Online tech support are saying line stabilization and it takes 10 days

No, because the router wasn't delivered on time, only arrived a couple of hours after he left, but it's actually slower than the old router connected.

Thanks for your post. Can I just confirm, what speeds are you seeing if you remove the eero and run a wired speed test directly at the ONT please?
