Full fibre 500 not getting even minimum speed from that

From 3rd of march when my service was installed I'm getting constant issues with my package speed.

ONT > eero 6 pro router showing 517Mbps on eero app

Anything connected to main eero router by either wifi or cable (cat6) can't get past 300Mbps.

I have 2nd eero router in mesh network to main one and my PC connected to it by cat6 cable. Highest speed I was able to get on that is also 300ish Mbps.

I had openreach engineer come and check setup to ONT and everything is fine on that end, they even replaced older box to newer model on that day.

I have done already 30 min power down and nothing changed after that.

Had live chat with many "tech supports" with all of them being totally clueless.

This is how close I was doing speed test with my mobile today just to show tech support it is not coverage issue. And there is speed test added from that time as well and most recent pc test.

Not sure what else I can add to this entire situation.

Hello

With 4 devices taking roughly 30Mbps of total speed, this is most recent speedtest.

I will do 30 min power down in the morning before going to work and will see if this will work any better after coming back from work.

Hi d34thscyth345,

How are your getting on, has there been any improvement since your last post?

In all honesty, if you are relying on an adapter to connect your laptop via ethernet then it does point to that being the likely weak link. Let's see what the support team have to say when they are back online from Monday.

Using TP-Link UE300 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter connected to laptop and testing just now I got 188.96 Mbps with 3 devices taking 85 Mbps combined.

I googled the EU300 adaptor and there are a lot of posts from customers in the support forums  saying it has limited their speeds -

Main eero 6 pro is connected to ONT and I did testing connecting laptop with that usb adapter to that eero.

Another eero is paired into mesh network and my pc is connected to that 2nd one. In both cases speeds are almost same but neither of those go past 300 mark.

Ah, OK, I thought you said there was an ethernet switch in the setup?

That is what I did by saying above since I have 2 eero - main one connected to ont and I did speed test connected to that one.

Can you try connecting your laptop directly to the Gateway eero, temporarily bypassing the switch?

Not sure what you mean by still - since posting this hour ago nothing changed.

Maximum speed from ONT box to main eero router currently is 505Mbps.

Using TP-Link UE300 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter connected to laptop and testing just now I got 188.96 Mbps with 3 devices taking 85 Mbps combined.

Speed is not same between ethernet and wifi, never was but we can agree it never went above 300 Mbps.

"Anything connected to main eero router by either wifi or cable (cat6) can't get past 300Mbps"

Are you still finding the maximum speed is the same on Ethernet or Wi-Fi?

It is 1 and half year old phone - Motorola G84 released in 2023, August 24

And at same time when i was doing those speed checks, 4 devices were connected to entire network taking amazing 1Mbps combined between them.

Wifi can be limited by the capability of devices, @d34thscyth345.

How old is your mobile?

How many devices are using the internet at once?
