Installation PTW (Permission to work)

A

As part of the preparation to install Fast Fibre in my home, Openreach has told TalkTalk that they need a Permission to Work (PTW) form to be signed. They informed TalkTalk that they sent this to my email address three times a few days ago. I told TalkTalk that the form hadn't arrived. Openreach doesn't talk to end users, so yesterday I spent an hour on the phone with TalkTalk being passed from department to department, which finally resulted in being told to call back in the morning.

This morning I was assured that the agent had spoken to Openreach and they had ensured Openreach had my correct email address and that I would soon get the form.

This afternoon I received a text from TalkTalk to say that they would have to cancel the installation if I didn't return the form. STILL, NO FORM HAS ARRIVED, and, yes, I did check the spam folder and even the bin. I spent an hour on the phone and chatbot with TalkTalk again this evening until it seemed all the relevant people had gone home.

TalkTalk had to cancel the order and start the whole process again.  Then I received a second permission to work form.

I first ordered Full Fibre on 18 Jan and I now have a 'go live' date of mid June.

I have a new post now opened to deal with the very shallow trench (45mm) dug by OpenReach contractors across my garden last week, but that's in another post

Still no email from Openreach but I have been assured it will be sent. I do hope so …
