I have a 2 bedroom flat, the broadband in some rooms is very poor. Can't get Talktalk to understand the problem. Have done speed tests in each room, it comes up with "status Good" even though the speeds are so different.  Why is this and why can't Talktalk understand the problem?

Yes thick was can affect wifi signal strength. If you could run a couple of speed tests on your laptop that would be helpful

Hi Divsec,

It was done on an android phone, same one in each room.  I am not sure about 2.5 or 5 ghz.  The signal can drop off.

Would my thick walls make a difference?

I don't know ethernet speeds.

I could try later today with a laptop to do another speed check.

Regards

Hi @Crappyservice a bit more detail could really help, please.

Are the tests on the same device in different rooms?

5ghz or 2.4 ghz.?

Is the speed to the router constant?

How are your ethernet speeds?

Apple or Android.?

Looking forward to hearing.

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
