Internet completely drops semi at random - and only to one device

I'm running the eero 6 provided, and I have been having none stop issues to my PC, running win 10. I use ethernet through powerline and a intel wifi card. Both have similiar issues.

  • When booting the PC for the first time in a day (usually in the evening after work) it sometimes fails to connect for a long time. I often have to restart the eero and modem manually (turning it off at a wall for a few minutes before turning it back on), but this doesn't always fix it.
  • When the connect becomes stable, it often remains so until I turn off and reboot the PC the next day. Not always though. In fact, while writing this post out, I saw the connection dip and die at random. No touching of the ethernet or eero, no new program been booted. Just died while writing and streaming music.
  • Upon playing games which are network connected, the connection drops. The entire PC has lost it's connection - I'm not able to open a webpage, or music streaming will cut out. Sometimes, shutting down these games will see the internet restored. Something it won't.
  • When these things go down, it largely doesn't seem to effect other wireless devices connected to the eero.

The major issues I have is the problems are absolutely not consistant, and the solutions are neither. All of these fixes sometimes work, and sometimes don't:

  • Manually restart the eero and modem.
  • Swap the ports been used by the powerline and the modem into the eero.
  • Swap the plugs the powerline are using
  • Physically move the PC.
  • Disabling the ethnernet and/or wifi card device in the PC's device manager and renabling it

I am also in the unique position that I spend half my time living in one location, and half my time in another. I actually transport my PC between these locations. I have no issues in the other location. Additionally the powerline set up used in the problem location worked perfectly before my swap to TalkTalk and the eero.

I can only conclude there is some issue in the eero, modem or with TalkTalk.

I've tried pretty much everything I can think of and I'm losing my mind. The system is essentially not fit for purpose. Is there another solution or fix I have not tried, or is it possible to request a different router and return the eero?

There's something between the interactions between the PC and the eero which is causing the issue. They're about 6/7m apart, through a few thick walls. I believe the powerline are on the same circuit yes. As I said, I used the powerlines on the same sockets in the past with a different router with no issues.

If it only affects one PC, I feel it is unlikely to be the eero. How far away is the PC from the eero?

When using the powerline adapters, are each of them on the same electrical circuit in your electricity consumer unit, where the fuses or circuit breakers are contained?
