Hello. Yesterday we had to have our power off for a mains repair. When the engineers restored power, they reinserted the main fuse before our consumer unit. When the ONT and router started up the router now cycles a sequence of orange flashing only, during which the LAN light on ONT is on for a while, then off and repeat. Ive tried turning off all night and starting up connecting as per fibre install instructions. No phoneline obviously either.

Desperately trying to avoid the stress of 'chatting with an expert' on the main site!

Hi

There is no charge, and this will be a full unit with a power supply.

Karl.

You're sending me a new router Karl? Just to confirm.

Will that  be with power supply, just in case that's faulty, and can you confirm there wont be a charge for the router exchange?

Thanks again

Hi Karl, thanks.

Yes, i tried a router reset by pin insertion for 10 secs. The ONT shows green for power and PON, but the LAN stays on for 30 secs while router flashes fast orange. LAN then goes off for about 10 secs, while router goes to slow orange  Then it all repeats

Hi

Are all lights green on the ONT ?

Have you tried a pin reset of the router - hold a pin or paperclip in the reset hole at the back for 10 seconds and this will fully reset the router.

Thanks

Karl.

Just to add, when we had a power cut back in Oct we eventually had an Openreach engineer change/reprogram the ONT box (although back then the router cycle included white/orange light....just the orange this time)
