Returning router

I have to return my router due to contract cancellation. Today I received the bag and label for the return but along with it was a white box. At the time I assumed the box was to put the router in to protect it from the Royal Mail during its return to you. However when I had chance to look more closely it contains a digital voice adapter. Why would you send me this?

Ive had hours on the chat service and a couple of phone calls where I eventually got cancellation confirmed for this Friday. Its been a bit of a pain with talktalk claiming new provider never actioned the switch and new provider saying they had actioned the switch and had taken over. With all this in mind a mix up wouldn't be too suprising. I'll just return it along with the other, unused digital voice adapter that came with the router. I would have thought a padded bag or box  for the router would be included but it seems not.

That's a bit odd, perhaps it was just some kind of mix up? Assuming you have confirmation that your TalkTalk service is fully cancelled, then just send it back with the router in the returns bag. Be sure to get a proof of postage receipt at the Post Office.
