Hello,
I tried to resolve this via customer service chat with absolutely no resolution so I am posting here.
My existing TalkTalk contract ends on the 8th December. I contacted Vodafone to take over the service (full fibre) on the 9th December.
I then received an email from TalkTalk to say that they are cutting off my service TODAY (31st October) because they have supposedly received an "Unsolicited Cease Order" from Vodafone. I've been on the phone to Vodafone who are categorically saying they haven't sent such an order.
TalkTalk are saying there is nothing they can do. This is absolutely unacceptable. I work from home and can't be without internet until the 9th December and I haven't requested any early termination so shouldn't have to pay early termination fees.
The only step I can see now is approaching the ombudsman and making an official complaint or taking legal action. Clearly, something has gone wrong on the TalkTalk / Vodafone side and neither side seems willing to help me sort it.
I literally just asked to switch to a new provider. It shouldn't be this difficult and error prone.
What am I supposed to do?

Hi mxjord
Your account is still showing as active, the switching process it there for a seamless transfer, this is led by the gaining provider in this case Vodaphone.
We will hold on to the line until they take it.
