I'm having full fibre 500 installed in a few weeks. Does anyone know if I can use my current TP link archer c64 router instead of the supplied Amazon eeros 6? Is the ONT box a modem that can be plugged straight into my current router?

To add - While there are instructions on how to set up a non TalkTalk router you should find that you don't need to do anything and your router will figure it out but if there's any issue, those instructions are here:- https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Set-up-a-non-TalkTalk-router/ta-p/2205383 Keep hold of your Eero though as TalkTalk may want it back and it's no use to you outside of the TalkTalk world.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I use a Unifi router and it set itself up in seconds, it's way my powerful with much more functionality than an Eero but the Amazon devices certainly work for the non teccy user.

The ONT effectively works as a modem as far as a router is concerned and yes, you can continue to use your own if you wish.
