I have been trying to get TalkTalk to take over my BT landline for a while but cannot get a sensible reply from them. Please help.

Do you already have broadband with Talktalk, @Hanno1, but the phone line with BT?
It may be that, with the switching off of copper, they'll be encouraging you simply to upgrade to Full Fibre?
What package are you currently on?
