I found this morning that my landline is not receiving calls. I can phone out. Using my mobile the call does sound as if it is calling but the phone does not ring. Dialing 1471 it does say that I was called.

Just to let you know the landline is now working. Openreach were not sure what the problem was but think it might have something to do will Callsafe. Anyway it’s working OK.

Hi

OK, next option is to book an engineer.  I'll drop you a PM to confirm some details.

OK, used another handset plugged into master socket with no other device connected. Same result. I can call out but when calling the landline the sending phone sounds as if is ringing through, but the landline handset does not ring. As before I used 1471 and it said the call was made.

Hi

All line tests are clear, can you unplug all out of the phone socket, and just connect the phone only to the master socket or 'Test Socket' if you have one, and retest.

If possible try another handset, alternatively try your handset on a friend or neighbours line, just so you are confident the handset is not at fault.

Thanks

Karl.
