Hi JF25101

Ive tested this, Without callsafe SMS's do get delivered automatically to your landline via the BT SMS system, but with callsafe enabled they do not get delivered,

Hope that helps

Exactly. @JF25101, can you possibly clarify what you mean by "accept" text messages, as it does affect the reply that staff will give you?

@Gliwmaeden2

FYI - The OP is asking "How do I get my landline to accept text messages". SMS texts are not supported on the TalkTalk landline network which is voice only.  BT have an SMS to voice service and in that case the TalkTalk recipient will get a voice message. I suggest the OP waits for official TalkTalk confirmation for the OP's question.

@Gondola, my traditional landline service picks up the text message converted into a voice message.

I haven't had to set this up - it's automatic.

TalkTalk's landline service is voice only and has never accepted text messages or provided support for text messaging.

It should be automatic.

Not sure if callsafe will cause an issue though.
