Hi Peter,

Has anyone been in touch with you since your last post as the line test is showing that your service is in fault which usually means that it's being investigated by Openreach

If you'd like us to book the engineer can you confirm:

  • That you accept potential Engineers charges
  • Provide availability, either AM (8am to 1pm) or PM (1pm to 6pm) between Monday to Friday.
  • Confirm your mobile number

Thanks

Hi Peter173,

If you still have no dial tone we can arrange a visit from an Openreach engineer. If you'd like us to do this please let us know and we'll confirm some details with you

I have had Webchats, and spoken to online people. I have a reference number 3-122710133501 from 16/1 saying Openreach will contact me. Last Webchat21/1 talking to Joseph complaint manager from TT technical team, stating Openreach will contact me. Despite all these interventions no one has contacted me.

I object to being awarded badges for  using the  community forum all I want is a working landline service for which I am paying.

I am happy for for TT engineer to visit but as previously stated TT engineer has visited house on 14/1 and found not house faults. He believes fault at exchange. I have had Webchat and keep being told Openreach will contact me.

Morning,

Thank you. Did you also test with a different phone/handset? As the line tests are still clear then we'll need to arrange an appointed engineer visit to the property. Please can you confirm that you accept potential time related charges and also provide a few days availability AM (8-1) and PM (1-6) and we can arrange this for you.

Thanks

Michelle

Staff would have run line tests back on the 10th if they had had a reply back then, @Peter173.

It would have helped to assess which engineer would have been correct for the job.

They can still double check for you but won't be back on here till Monday. They wouldn't have been informed that you had used other channels for support without you telling them, but now they know, they should be able to see the report.

Master socket does have a test socket to which phone is plugged in with no dial tone. Phone does not ring if phoned from another phone.

Master socket has a test socket. Talktalk engineer has visited house, no problems with wiring. Says problem is at exhange. On mychat 21/1  spoke with Joseph from TT technical team,  he was arranging for an Openreach engineer to investigate at exchange, this is the third time I have been told this is happening. Have received no further information. Phone still does not work.

Two and a half weeks later still no phone working. Spoke online 3 days ago contacting  Openreach. Text received yesterday to say fault fixed which it clearly has not. Spent nearly 2 hours in webchat. Who can sort out this problem?

Hi Peter,

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a few line tests now which are clear. Does your main socket have a test socket? Do you also have an alternative phone that you can test with please to rule this out? Is there currently no dial tone?

Thanks

Michelle
