Openreach have now closed the fault as resolved.

 

Is everything working ok now?

Openreach have advised that the next update on this fault should be available on 28/10.

Hi @Ellie2457 

 

The Openreach engineer has advised that following their investigation at the cabinet, the engineer was unable to complete the task and furthered the task as a hazard, stating that once they got to the cabinet they got a really strong smell of gas so put his testing equipment in the cabinet and it was reading high levels. Therefore they closed the cabinet and reported it to the gas board.

 

The engineer is due to attend again on Friday.

The Openreach engineer hasn't updated the fault ticket as yet. I will continue to monitor this.

@Ellie2457, any notifications that you get from the forum are from a No Reply email address, so staff can't receive any replies by that means. The messages cannot reach them.

thats incorrect,,you raised a fault at 12..11 on 4th oct and I heard back on 8th asking if I still needed assistance....so I asked have you now fixed the fault and heard nothing back. 2 weeks later its still not working. you previously advised my query had been escalated on the 4th... yet nothing has ever happened as line still not working

we did reach out to you on the 4th, requesting you update your profile so we can look into this for you, but you have only just replied in this thread to allow us to take this further.

 

Tests on your line show a fault.  I've logged this out to Openreach to pass to a line engineer.

I haven't posted for the fun of it... I'm waiting for you to tell me its been repaired and 2 weeks later my phone still isn't working!!!! im cancelling your service
