@siphosethu-TT, could you show us where it says that we can report the number to Talktalk, other than using Last Caller Barring?

Talktalk used to provide a useful facility for recording the dodgy numbers on its website but this was withdrawn some time ago.

All I can see now is the facility for reporting email scams:

I understand, if you have another number that you have been called with, you can provide the details of the other details I will report it for you.

yup - know all about those ... but scam calls almost always are from different numbers so it doesn't help!

To block the last number to call you:

  1. After the number you want to block has called you, hang up and then dial 1 4 2 5 8 on your phone
  2. Confirm that you want to block the number by dialling #01#
  3. The number will be confirmed and will now be blocked

To block a specific number:

  1. Dial 1 4 2 5 8
  2. Dial the key then the number followed by the # key
  3. The number you’ve entered will now be blocked from calling you

I have reported this for you and you can use this link in the future. www.talktalk.co.uk/scams you have a calling feature which is the Last Caller Barring on your account and it is active. This calling feature is the perfect way to stop nuisance callers. You can use it to block the last number to call you, or you can enter specific numbers you’d like to bar. Whenever someone tries to call you from a blocked number, they will hear a recorded message and you won't be disturbed by the call.

Thanks - already use this as well as action fraud by email but why not talk talk??

Message 16 of 24

Shouldn't this route to report be clear in my account .... why is it so hard to report?

It's worth reporting the type of call here too, @PADDY52:

https://who-called.co.uk/Number/07488315311

So far, quite a lot of look ups but nobody posting any useful description of the call.
