Cancelled Mobile Contract

I cancelled my mobile sim contract in early January 2024 but, I have now just been billed for Jan 2024 and a full monthly payment taken on 19 Jan 2024.

Does anyone know how talktalk deal with mobile cancellations?

Do they refund overpayments automatically or do customers have to chase down a refund?

 

Many Thanks for any help since talktalk dont seem to make it clear.

Refund was paid as stated within 3-5 days.

Thanks for the guidance. I have requested a refund for the amount shown in my account. I'm just waiting for it to show up in my bank account. Waited two working days so far. I will let you know when it has been refunded.

Usually overpayments are credited back and shown in My Account,  once the credit shows you will need to call the mobile team and ask them to process a refund.

They can only bill 30 days at a time.

 

If your cancellation was only early January, 30 days have not elapsed, and, if it's like Broadband billing, they don't know that you haven't changed your mind. 

 

Unused days for ordinary billing are refunded to My Account and claimed back, by you, to your bank account. 

 

Forum staff don't have access to mobile billing.

 

If in doubt about what's going on, use Chat / phone 03451 720088 and ask for the Mobile department.
