I have had my mobile plan with TalkTalk for several years.

 

I never incur charges outside of my monthly allowance, however, last month there was an overlimit charge for internet usage and I have just been told that there will be an overlimit charge of £8 for mobile internet.

 

I do not use my phone to access the internet and I cannot understand where these charges have come from.

 

I am seeking your advice before I contact customer services as they are usually offer very little help..

Have you changed mobile handsets recently?  As Gliwmaeden2 mentions sometimes apps can try to update when you are out of WIFI range which may cause charges if the mobile data limit is passed.

Your phone settings need to be set to "update over wifi only", as app updates eat data, @carlastc. Make sure that mobile data is always off too.

 

If it's not that, you will need to call / Chat to the mobile department and speak to them, as staff on the forum do not have access to mobile billing.
