I am unable to send Text Messages from my Mobile phone. I can receive them but not send. I went to the local phone shop yesterday and after some considerable time he told me that it was probably a fault with my SIM card  which needs refreshing. What can I do?

Be specific and ask for Mobile Phone Support. It might help.

Thank you for the information re:- ad blockers. I will probably try by phone first tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

If you don't hear from me you will know that I have failed miserably.

OK, sorry we couldn't do more. They will be closed now, but if you want to try chat again tomorrow make sure that any ad blocker on your browser is disabled and pop ups and redirects allowed. Do let us know how you get on.

Thank you very much for trying anyway. It was always a long shot trying in the Community but Live Chat doesn't appear for me and it is the second day trying to speak to someone live and as I previously said when I did speak to someone earlier I got cut off.

I posted a link to the contact details earlier. You will need to persevere there I'm afraid, we simply can't help you here.

Yes, the chap in the shop was very thorough. He even tried the SIM in one of his own Mobiles.

Thank you for that. It does work but "Michelle" says that the Community cannot help me . It has to be a phone call or Live Chat which i am unable to find  and I did have a telephone conversation eventually after about  45 minutes but it was difficult to understand what was being. I was sent a Security Code in an e-mail, to what end I am not sure but the phone went dead I've lost the will to Live.

Yes, I have had it for more years than I care to remember (20 plus). I am totally computer iiliterate and a lot of the terminology passes me by but I have never had this problem before.

Assuming you have tried all the usual stuff like removing the SIM, restarting your phone, giving the SIM a gentle wipe and then re-inserting it etc, you need to contact TalkTalk customer services directly to arrange a SIM swap. The support team here can't help with mobile issues I'm afraid.

Ps. I've assumed you have a TalkTalk sim and not a contract or access via another provider.
