SUPERSAFE MESSAGE

I subscribe to Supersafe.  On Wednesday my email was hacked and those on my contact list were phished.  I spent several hours on Wednesday and this morning on Chatbox (because mail was not being received in Outlook) and now have a reference number.    I asked several times why Supersafe did not protect me from this and got no reply.  I have looked at managing Supersafe.  I got the message 'Toshiba Laptop.  This device has not been connected to Supersafe Account during the last two weeks'.   I then went through add and was told I was successfully installed on two devices.  When I checked I saw that I was protected on 'Samsung Workbook' which is the same device as the Toshiba Laptop which I am on now.  When I checked the named devices I found that the Samsung Workbook was protected but for the Toshiba Laptop I got the message above.  What has gone wrong?  Was the Toshiba Laptop ever protected?  If this is the case I have spent hours on your chatbox and the problem is not resolved yet.  I have also been subscribing £6 a month without getting protection.

Supersafe has to be added to your account for each device you wish to protect and the software installed on each machine. Is the supersafe programme showing in your installed programmes on your Toshiba laptop?

Having said this, the way email accounts become vulnerable is by clicking a link in an email. These have been doing the rounds asking people to verify their TalkTalk email address. If you have done something like this, Supersafe will not protect you as nothing would be downloaded to your laptop.

Adding your details into a website is an action we do everyday and giving this information is probably how scammers got into your account
