My old 4k box when scanning for tv channels does not find BBC1, ITV etc but will load the extra channels (which don't want) I've been sent a new box and this does the same.

If both boxes to the same it could be an aerial issue.
What happens if you plug the aerial directly into the TV and retune? Do you get all channels are do some pixelate?
Is the aerial to the box a direct feed or does it loop through the TV?
If it is an aerial issue you will need to contact a local aerial installer to check the installation.

Are you getting the full range of channels if you connect the aerial directly to the TV? Have you checked for any Freeview issues in your area?
