Faulty TV box?

When I record programmes on my TV hub, the box restarts itself several times and only records 2 or 3 minutes at at time.  It never records a whole programme all the way through.  It is not because I am watching another channel it does it when I am not in the house or have the TV on.

Is my box faulty?

The TV Hub does not record.

 

Do you have the Netgem 4k box with a usb installed or a YouView box?

 

As you mention the TV hub, I'll guess it's the 4k box with usb.

 

If so, what size usb stick do you have, and does it have a number of programmes already recorded on it? How much space does it say you have left?

 

Where did you buy it from? A physical store or on line?

 

If on line, it's possible you have purchased  a stick which actually has a much lower capacity than you thought. The symptom you describe would occur when the stick has reached its capacity.

 

It could also be a case that the stick has become corrupted, in which case it will need reformatting and you will lose your recordings.

 

You can reformat this from your settings menu, but be aware too that if your stick is a fake capacity one, the symptoms will reoccur.
