I didn’t catch the 4 letter code at set up. It then tells you to go into settings, permissions, mobile app for a new code but there is no permissions area under settings. Why are they so ******* useless at getting things correct?

The app you have posted a picture of is for the Netgem Box so you cannot link them.
2 totally different systems.

The TV hub. There’s just nowhere in the settings to get a new code.

Do you have a netgem box or the TV hub?
People sometimes have got confused and try to link to netgem app to the TV Hub which is not possible.
The netgem box has not been supplied for a couple of years now.
