The signal strength may be the issue but the weather is playing havoc with signals at the moment, so this may be the problem and it's usuall best to leave retuning alone.
If you wish to recontract try and force it another retune may work, but first remove the aerial and retune. This will show 0 channels but will clear the box of it's memory. Then retune with the aerial in.
