Could I see Now TV if I went on holiday to Europe if I took my Tablet and connected it to the hotel

Its all down to licensing of the programmes. They are only licensed for the U.K..

You can view in the U.K. in hotels. I do this myself.

Ok - I thought if a hotel had Chromecast on their TV you could link your tablet in some way to watch Now TV or Netflix etc.

No, you can only view in the UK officially.

There may be a way to do so but you will need to do your own research on this.
