Have set up the new tv box we received this week but NO volume on Apps or normal tv channels so we still cant watch tv

If you switch to your TV bypassing the box (you may have to put the aerial in the TV if you don't have a separate feed already) do you get the volume on the channels?
If not try your TV remote to adjust the volume. If there is still no volume, then the fault is with your TV.
If you do get volume, re-insert the aerial to the box and remove the HDMI cable. Are you using the supplied cable, if not, use the one from the box.
If still no volume, go to settings and sound. Change the HDMI put to surround sound as this will set the box to maximum volume.
Of non of these work, then go to settings and select the factory reset option which will start the set-up process again.
