Is it possible to record tv programmes with my newly delivered tvhub?

@ferguson thank you for your support

You should really start your own topic rather than posting on someone else's. But if you simply want to record Freeview TV any box that is capable of that will work and you can cancel your TalkTalk TV subscription.

Hi Fr8ys
i’m sure you must be fed up of answering this question, but I just got my TalkTalk TV Hub upgrade. I had a recordable you view box until now. If I go and buy an EE pro box that you just referenced and I plug it into my TV, will it work and do I continue to need to pay £5 to TT or if I simply want the freeview channels and the ability to record and pause live TV
does this function work if I am not paying £5
thabk you so much.
recording is important to me!

TalkTalk have not supplied recordable YouView boxes for over r years now, and briefly supplied Netgem 4k boxes with very limited recording functionality but these ended around a year ago.
If you wish to return your box and have the TV charge removed you can do this by phoning the loyalty team.

You can still obtain recordable boxes such as the Manhattan T4R from retail sites or a BT /EE Pro box, based on YouView from CeX. The latter records 4 programmes at a time while watching a 5th.

Annoying as I was assured I would be sent a box with the facility to record. Not happy!

No, it's streaming only with live TV.
