Talktalk hub and ARC

My sound system works by Audio Return Chanell but it will not work if my TT TV hub is connected, even if it is switched off (presumably on standby).  If is I unplug the hub, start the ARC sound and plug in the hub, ARC continues to work.  What am I doing wrong ?

What AV receiver or soundbar are you connecting to ARC?

 

It may be a setting within these devices rather than the hub.

 

Have you set the sound within the hub to surround sound?

 

Is the hub connected to the AV or soundbar or to an HDMI on your TV?

 

Have you tried connecting the Hub to both devices?

 

It might be worth asking this question on a forum dedicated to your AV or soundbar.

 

Fyi I have connected the hub to both my TV and AV receiver and mine works both ways.

 

Btw are you using the supplied HDMI cable as older ones do sometimes not work as they don't transmit data correctly.
