When selecting BBC it automatically goes into the IPlayer live TV.

When selecting BBC it automatically goes onto the IPlayer live TV. Furthermore, when watching TV on the IPlayer, it's constatly buffering. This does not happen on other channels. It appears while reading the threads that I am not the only person having this issue. On one such thread it was suggested to place the TV ariel into the socket on the TV. This I have done and the problem persists. Please help somebody?

The 4k box is designed to do this when the TV signal on channel 1 is low.

 

The best way round this is to use the corresponding BBC  HD channels in the 100 range, i.e. 101, 102 etc.

 

Not only should this reduce the issue, the added benefit is that if you have an HD or 4K TV, the picture and sound will be better.

 

The weather can also affect the picture and signal quality so this may be having an effect on your region at the moment.

Ps the placing of the aerial in the TV was to see if there was any breakup of the TV tuners picture, not to mix the box issue.

Hi

 

If you connect the aerial directly into the TV, then check BBC1 / BBC2 directly on the TV, how is the reception of those channels on the TV ?
