Hi , I think my youview box is dying .
After about two mins of playing picture freezes with no sound .
Tried factory reset , changed cables and plugged it into the wall directly , still the same other than help ! What else can I try .

No point mentioning the old box, this cannot be repaired or replaced, Simply ask about the new TV HUB.

Okay , yes I do pay a charge for the box , I'll give them a ring see what they say , something I dread is trying to exsplain what's wrong , again thanks for your help regarding this I really appreciate it .

Are you paying a separate charge for TV on your bill?
If you wish a box from TalkTalk, yes you will need to phone a probably need to recontract to obtain this. Of you currently pay a TV charge this will convert to the new monthly charge.
As the box no longer records there are alternatives you may wish to consider. If you do and pay the TV charge, you can phone the loyalty team and get this removed.

Okay will try and see what happens , I'm still in contract what happens if I can't get it going , do I just ring tech support ,?

Only another reset.
Some people have managed to get it working again after the box has reformatted the hard drive a second time.
Unfortunately these boxes are now approaching the end of life and there is no longer support for them.
Please note that TalkTalk now only supply non recordable ones., So it's best to try all alternatives if recording is important to you.
