Can't register after migration from Shell as I have an old TalkTalk account

I have just been migrated from Shell Broadband however I have an old account with you meaning that I can't register as my email address is registered as already in use.

Could you please deactivate my old account so I can register my new account with my email address?

Many thanks.

Hi @TTrefund,

I just checked my preferences and, like you, I was set to receive paper bills even though I thought I was paperless when I was previously with TalkTalk a few years back. Anyway it was simple enough to change - many thanks for pointing this possibility out and saving me £2.75 in the process!

Hello Thrifty

I had the same issue a few weeks ago, and it was sorted by the wonderful Arne.  However I have just received a paper bill I didn't want at a charge of £2.75 even though June bill was electronic as My Shell bills were.  Perhaps reseting the account to my 4 year old TT account caused this, so it will be worth you logging into MyAccount and checking your preferences.   I have changed my preference to paperless to avoid further unwanted charges.

Good luck.

Staff will respond after the weekend, @Thrifty.

I'll move this to the billing section for you.

Gliwmaeden2, a fellow customer.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
