If I make card payment early then due date will direct debit still be taken as want to cancel dd but it's not showing on online banking yet

Your direct debit is due on the 14th if you make the card payment today (9th) the direct debit wont be requested.

It would need to be fully 3 working days before the Direct Debit was due, otherwise the DD will still be taken, @Chearrie95.
