I changed my bill date to the 18th jan, have had confirmation, but its been took today and left me in an unpaid overdraft

It was changed on the day the direct debit was claimed, direct debits are requested a minimum of 3 days before they are claimed , so the bill date change wont take effect till next month.

@Emmam27, when did you make the changes?
If your current bill was already in the process of being made up, so around 4 days before you normally receive it, it couldn't be applied to the current billing cycle in time.
