Is Talk Talk's 'Fixed Price Plus' still available, whereby when taking out a new contract or renewing an existing one, an additional monthly amount could be paid which would replace the annual price increase each April, so the amount you pay remains the same for every month of the contract, the last month's payment being the same as the first. Or.... has 'Fixed Price Plus' been ended, now that the annual increase of 'inflation + 3.7%' has been replaced by the annual £3 price rise?
I ask as my latest contract, which included Fixed Price Plus, has just ended, and I'm deciding whether to renew/take out a new contract, and I've found having Fixed Price Plus for my past contracts was valuable and a deciding factor.
I must just add that I've always had excellent service from Talk Talk since the Tiscali days, with no technical or billing, etc problems whatsoever. The only problem I notice now is apparently finding different prices for the same contract depending where on the website I look. e.g. I've found Fibre 65 priced at either £28.00 or £34.00 (before the April increase) for a 24 month contract, depending where I look. Or indeed £26.00 a month if I continue out-of-contract, according to an email from TT, which is what I've been paying for the past 18 months with Fixed Price Plus.
I feel a call to the 'Retentions Dept' might be needed. Actually I think the last time I called, it had changed it's name to The Value-For-Money Dept or something similar. Does anyone know what it's called now, or have the current phone number?
