Keep e-mail addresses after leaving TalkTalk

Is it possible to keep and use e-mail addresses for a good length of time (or indefinitely) after leaving TalkTalk for another service?

If it is, then I've a few other questions:

  • For how long can one keep the addresses - is it a fixed period or indefinite?
  • Does one retain the full function of the addresses or they limited in some way?
  • Can one keep and use all registered e-mail addresses, and for how long?

And ...

  • How much does it cost for one or multiple addresses?

Am out of contract so leaving is a non-issue.

Thank you.

Please return to the message board and click on start a topic to begin your own thread, @Sage2015.

You'll need to also complete your community forum profile details so that staff can check the status of your account: if you are still a broadband customer you must not subscribe to Everymail; if you've already left Talktalk, you'll need to be sent a link etc but please do start your own thread.

Staff only reply to the original poster, and they won't be back on here before Monday.

Hi @webbyjones As part of the recent changes, we are transitioning our active email users who do not have broadband accounts to sign up for EveryMail. If you choose to disconnect your account, please be aware that you will need to subscribe to EveryMail to retain your email addresses after closing your account. Please note that TalkTalk no longer offers a grace period for free access following the disconnection of your broadband service.

Currently, if you close your account and subscribe to EveryMail, the fee is £50.00 per year, or you can choose a monthly option of £5.00. You can retain up to 5 email addresses with this subscription.
