Overcharged

After a long chat with three or four people I decided to stay with Talktalk and renewed my contract after negotiating the monthly charge down to £24 per month, I was going to change to Sky or Now as both were offering good deals.  After checking my bill I have been charged £25 per month since I renewed in June 2024, I know it's only £1 per month but it is not what I agreed and I definitely do not want to chat for another hour or more. Any ideas how to resolve?

I dont have access to calls sorry , You can raise a Subject Access Request (SAR) following these instructions https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Understanding-your-data-rights/bd-p/GDPR

Hi Arne, thanks for looking into my query, I was sure I agreed £24 per month but I don't have any records of it and you are quite right I did receive the contract by email. It would be interesting to know , if you have a record of the telephone conversation, what was said by Talktalk.

Regards

Brian.

Hi Brian65

The notes show you accepted Fibre 65 voip for 25 pounds on a 24 months contract

You will have also been sent the auto sign documents which outline your agreement.

Have you got a record of the price you say was agreed? You have allowed quite a while to pass before raising this. The support team here can have a look to see what is on record, but they won't be back online until Monday. And in all honesty I suspect they will refer you back to the customer loyalty team in any event. Your best bet is probably to contact them directly, try 0345 172 5157 and you should get straight through.
