'Suspect' e-mail

I have received an e-mail saying that, for the next two months, you are unable to take 'recurring card payments'.

 

You then suggest that I set up an alternative way of paying my account.

 

Is this genuine?

 

If so can I simply check my account at the end on the month, and pay online?
