Letter 17th Jan 2025: The price of your service is changing.

Edited with more info: The letter is confusing...
I don't use a landline, I don't have a landline service contract nor do I want one. I have a data only Fibre 150 contract till 2026 and that's all I need. So, why do I need to call 0345 172 0034 to avoid apparent price increases of £12 per month if I do nothing ?

Why does the letter assume I have or need a landline service ?

I have also received an email of the same message with links to click and verify my intention, which I thought had already been discussed and confirmed when I opted for fibre 150 and no landline.

Have TT sent out the letter to everyone regardless, even though they know I don't have or need a landline.

So, do I really need to call TT ??
What really happens if I do nothing ?

Thanks

Hi Nigel247

Your bill shows the copper line is still active

I would suggest that you call the number given to remove this otherwise the bill will raise by £12 to keep the number and landline active.

Sorry for any confusion.

Moving this to the billing section for you, @Nigel247.

That letter usually applies if the copper line was left in place when the Full Fibre was installed, @Nigel247.

Even if you've never used it, it's perhaps not been cancelled on Talktalk's systems. Best to give them a call to make sure it's no longer connected.
