@Arne-TalkTalk

Hi Arne.

I'm cool, ALL sorted my end, as a £100 refund hit my account this evening.

The refund request was handled by a complaints manager in my case, as I've had ongoing issues (that look to have been resolved) since the middle of July.

I found the refund process 2B fast TBF after it was accepted, but overall I've found CS to be sloppy in general, and as for online chat? well, now I know what it must feel like to be a ping pong ball.

@hackedoffcompletely

Is it reasonable to assume that you chose your community name to reflect your mood/who you are dealing with ? PERfectly understandable methinks.

When you find yourself with a credit in your TT account, and you DON'T want the UESless INcompetent muppets to take it off you, it is easy enough to request a refund, and TBF it can be quick, depending on the individual dealing with it...I guess, as TT DO have SOME people who actually do have a clue.

I seem to have found 2 or 3 of them over the course of the past 8-9 weeks, but it is often the case that 1 competent person's work is ruined by a muppet.

Ah yes, 8-9 weeks of banging away at TT (Non) CS and TT (haven't got a scooby) Tech support, then a brief encounter with this forums "TalkTalk can do no wrong" appreciation society, does kinda put a dent in yer SOH...but just a dent, and only a little one  🙂

That said? I did find Karl (a member of TalkTalk on this forum) helpful, if a little...reserved? at first.

THE REFUND

1st they will CONSIDER it (what you want, against what you owe at that point, between your last bill, and the date of the refund request)

Then you should get a notification. Request accepted or declined.

I received the following email Fri, 20 Sept at 15:38.

Oh yes, and JUST to be on the safe side

I don't have a Direct Debit, preferring to go with the safer option of a Standing Order

We've approved your refund request

Great news, your refund is on its way. You should receive it within 3-5 working days through the method you requested as below:
Refund amount
£100.00
Method
BACS
Refund amount less than expected?
This is usually because charges have been applied to your account, such as a new bill being generated, between the time the refund was requested and it being processed. You can view any charges applied to your account in your transaction history in My Account.

Thank you

What is the issue?

if your account is in credit you access My Account and there is a button to press to request a refund.

the only time this button is not available is if your next account is due to be compiled and then this credit will be used against your next due amount.

if you have an issue other than this you need to explain it so advice can be given.
