I am still using the one I got about 3 years ago. I did get sent a new one 18 months ago. When I tried to set up the new one recently I could not get access. I was advised to do a reset but was frightened to do it incase I could not set it up. I was losing download speed but unplugged for 30 minutes fixed it.

I now have 2 Asus laptops different models both under 6 months old.

My attached images will show my problem.

If your router is like the one in the picture with the bronze behind the holes in the front then it's the sagemcom. If you can't access the hub's setting pages with the password on the back of the hub then you would need to reset the router to factory default settings.

This is the only instruction booklet I have, it does not mention WPS.

Hi Pnokio

If you remove the WIFI card then this information should show underneath.

Neither has anything on the front except TalkTalk.

The image is from my new unused one, and is identical to the one I'm using.

Hi Pnokio

Does one router have gold/bronze dots on the front?

Both hubs look very similar. Could you check the labels on the back of both routers?

Hi Pnokio

Are both routers the Huawei hub?

I can send you a Sagemcom hub if you would like me to arrange this?

I have decided to postpone my attempt at installing my 18 month old router. My new contract will start on or about 15th July 2023 and might be getting the latest model.

A big thanks to you.

Hi Pnokio

Could you try connecting the other router again?

Once the light is white on the front of the router, check if you can see the router in the wireless list on your device? Then use the wireless password from the back of the new router.

I still have both. I tried to set up the new one but it would not allow the

Router Username:
Router Password:
from the back of the HUB.
And remember, I have never used WPS as I don't know how to do it.

Hi Pnokio

This is the only way we can reset the router to see if this helps.

Do you still have the other router?

That is my problem, I am worried about losing my ability to log backk on. I only have a laptop and never used the WPS feature. It would not accept the Router Username: and Router Password: from its rear panel.

Hi Pnokio

If you are experiencing issues with the hub then I would suggest trying the pin hole reset for ten seconds.
