Hello,
Tonight my internet speed is increadibly slow, at least half of what it should be and usually is; I went on the TalkTalk website and looked at what broadband speed packages I could get and my usual results are TalkTalk65 with a minimum of 32mbps, however, now it has changed to minimum of 15mbps and between 15-19..
What has happened for this to change, I've always been getting around 32mbps.

Mine is like NTE 2000 and it’s the only socket.

Ok thanks. How many telephone sockets do you have? Is your router currently connected to you test socket, if you have one - Your guide to main phone sockets - TalkTalk Help & Support

Hi Chris,
no I can’t hear any noise or anything like that on the phone line.

Hi,
Thanks for answering the security questions. Are you experiencing any problems with your telephone service, any noise on the line?

Even with no other devices I’m only getting 18mbps at 11pm; anytime through the day actually. Usually I get 32.

All done, my predicted line speed should be 32 as it’s always been. I’ve been getting 32mbps for many years.

Hi Firmware_Needed
Your line is in sync at 20mb. I'm just sending you a Private Message to check the predicted speed range for your line.
Thanks
Debbie

Since you posted about 8pm you seem to have the same issue I have. Talktalk's speed test slows down around 8pm. My guaranteed speed is 41 Mbps but last night at 20:35 it was only 5.8 Mbps. See https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Broadband/Slow-download-speed-from-some-services-despite-fast-co...

Estimated speeds for a new contract can change over time, based on Openreach data. But you would not expect to get a significant drop like this in your speed. The measured speed value shown on the website might actually be from yesterday, as it only updates overnight, are you able to log into your router to see what it says the download speed is. As if that is still showing 36 then that would indicate your router is still getting a speed of 36.
I'm not sure if you were running the speed test wired or wireless, but if a wired speedtest result is significantly lower that the speed shown when you log into the router, then try switching the router off for over 30 minutes, as this will get you a new session, and can help get the throughput speed back up to something much closer to the router sync speed.

It says;
Estimated speed: 29 Mbps - 35 Mbps
Measured speed: 36 Mbps
I'm getting 14.4 from that speedtest.
And when I go to choose my broadband plan it says that I can have between 15-19. I don't get it.

Hi @Firmware_Needed,
If you go to the Service Centre what does it show for your ‘Estimated Speed’ and your ‘Measured Speed’. If you run a speed test (ideally from both a wired and wireless device so that you can compare), how close are the speed test results to that ‘Measured Speed’.
The TalkTalk Support Team on this community will be able to help, they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.
