Broadband going very slow over past week.

On Fibre 65, speed is usually about 70mbp, the last week it has been between 7 and 20 today. Have gone through all the suggested fixes and nothing is making it any better

Can I just confirm, did you also try the 30 minute router power down this morning as the speed test results do look very low in relation to the current sync speed?

Hi Michelle, Just done that. 

Test 1 through talk talk, speed to router 11Mbps

Test 2 through talk talk, download speed 26Mbps

I done a further test through an independent speed checker and got 10.0 Mbps

Morning,

 

I've re-checked the connection stats and I can see that the sync speed has increased. Could you try powering down the router for a full 30 minutes and then run another speed test please as this will reset the current session and can often increase the throughput speed.

Speed has been averaging 10 - 20.  Now using the test on talk talk, its showing on 5 to the router

Yes I have done the 30 minutes, and done a hardwired speed test, it went up to 40, but has now dropped to 25

I'm sorry to hear this and I will take a look now. I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault. Can I just confirm, have you tried powering down the router for a full 30 minutes and then ran another wired speed test, as this will reset the current session and can often increase the throughput speed?

As you are getting slow wired speeds, then I will ask the TalkTalk support on here to deal with this.
