Hi,

I'm considering a TalkTalk contract and have decided to go for the Fibre500 plan that comes with an Eero. I've been prompted to consider an additional Eero for better coverage. Thing is, we've already got a BT Wifi extender that's worked well with our Virgin broadband so far, so my first instinct is that we don't need a new one. However, I'm concerned about the exclusivity of the package and the Amazon tech.

Will I be able to use my BT extender as normal with this contract?

Thanks! That's put my mind at ease. As long as our existing extenders can be used we'll be fine.

As long as its not locked to the BT Hub in some way, it should be able to be used independently, but the WiFi speed will probably be less as it could be dependent on its own speed for boosting the signal.

I would wait until  you get the install and try it before making any hasty decision.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.
