Full Fibre Service Availability

I am just after some advice at this stage about how to find out when TalkTalk will provide Full Fibre Service to my address? It is not showing as an available option in my contract yet Openreach website state it is available.

To add to this query my next door neighbour has arranged with his provider BT to connect to Openreach Full Fibre. Also due to the broadband wiring arrangements in my road are going to need to dig a hole in my front garden to access their junction box which apparently also serves the street and fit a bigger replacement to suit their fibre cable.

Obviously I am surprised these proposed arrangements can go ahead without me also having the benefit of Full Fibre being installed!

 Advice on what I can do will be appreciated?

@Giraffe

Don't forget they must, I believe, reinstate your garden to the state it was in beforehand as far as possible and to your satisfaction.

Fr8ys thanks for your frank reply I get the message if with BT I can have Full Fibre now otherwise availability is in the lap of the gods.

Luckily my existing TT broadband is working well. It will now just annoy me that Openreach can come and dig a hole in my garden so that my neighbour and anyone else in my road, cul de sac, can have full fibre broadband at will.

@Giraffe unfortunately you will be lucky to get through to a uk person.

TalkTalk partner with various fibre suppliers throughout the UK so it may not be the same company as provides your neighbour.

Even if it is, some ISPs get an exclusive period to connect customers as they may have partnered with OpenReach and provided some financial incentive.

It's therefore very difficult for TalkTalk to provide any dates for future installation.

Once it is available you should be contacted to discuss and understand your needs and requirements..

For more information from OpenReach on their plans please see here.

Thanks for your reply. I am a 78 year-old with hearing difficulties so ideally I want to speak to someone in the UK.

Do you provide a contact number for hard of hearing customers?
