Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk

I have just received my latest bill and was expecting to see some compensation credit for the period when my landline was dug up by CityFibre, any news on this?

Hi ernie66

I would expect to see speeds of around 45/46mb on a wired connection, based upon the sync speed.

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk

All my speed tests are over wi-fi as my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port

Hi ernie66

Was the last speed test a wired test?

The speed is just slightly below the predicted range for the line.

Hi ernie66

I've checked the connection stats again and the sync speed has remained at 48.9mb.

How has the connection/speed been?

Thanks

Hi ernie66

I can see that DLM has increased the speed again to 48.9mb.

I will check this again tomorrow to see if the speed increases again.

Thanks

Hi ernie66

Is the speed now 42mb?

Please can you now leave the router switched on and I will check the connection stats again tomorrow to see if DLM has made any further changes to the speed/profile.

Thanks

Hi ernie66

Please can you power down the router for a full 30 minutes and then run another speed test?

DLM monitors the connection and adjusts the profile/speed based upon the stability of the connection.

Thanks

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk

In response to your previous reply, you say that the line speed is around 47Mbs, yet using your Speed test its only showing 30Mbps to the router!!!!  A long way off the guaranteed 46Mbps. Whats happened to the other 17Mbs ?

Also who are DLM ?

Hi ernie66

I'm so glad to hear that Openreach installed the landline today.

I've checked the connection stats and your line is in sync at just under 47mb.

If the connection remains stable, then DLM may increase the speed further.

Thanks

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk

Although I had an engineer install a new landline today, I find that the download speed is very disappointing at approx. 30 megs, when the expected speed is 46 megs.  Before the landline was dug up, I was achieving speeds of 50-55 megs.

I have carried out all of the recommendations in the troubleshooting guide with no effect.

Could you please restore my speeds to where they should be.

Thank you.

Hi ernie66

Openreach have advised that the fault is with the 2nd stage repair team as the dig work has been completed.

They have asked for us to check back on 10/11 for additional updates.

Thanks
