Lenova wireless problem

This is a weird one but we have a new laptop which, when it connects to our home wifi, causes the router to disconnect from TalkTalk.

 

The router sometimes reconnects after a few minutes, or if we switch off wifi on the laptop then the router reconnects shortly afterwards and everybody stops shouting at me.

 

The laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 7 14ARB7 running Windows 11, router is some generic D-Link device supplied by TalkTalk about 8 years ago.


What could be causing this?! Seems really odd

Sorry no, the Sagemcom is still the router that we supply to all customers except those on some Future Fibre packages.

OK thanks. Have you tried resetting the router to factory default settings, if not then I think it's worth a try.

Could you take a look at the label on the router and let me know what the make and model is

yes its dropped several times today

OK thanks. Line history and authentication logs are only showing two disconnections in the last 14 days and they were both yesterday. Has the connection dropped today?
