Lost WiFi connection

My speeds were showing low on test and I got the message to change channels. Following the instructions to change it my WiFi was disabled and I can't enable it now.

I have lost my WiFi from my laptop.  My router is not listed in the available network connections. My smart phone is still connected ok.

Any help please.

Hello Debbie, new router just arrived.  Plugged it in and everything was as it should be.

Thanks a lot.

Hi jimbly

No problem 🙂

The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Thanks

Hi jimbly

Would you like me to send a replacement router for testing?

Hello Debbie, missed this off, when I was following the instructions to change channels, the WiFi is showing as disabled on the hub connectivity page, even though I didn't get around to changing any settings.  The enable/disable WiFi button is green, as are band 1 and band 2.  But all showing disabled status.

Cheers.

Hi jimbly

The pin hole reset would reset the router back to default settings. This may help as you say this only happened when you changed the channels?

Hello Debbie,  my smartphone is working ok, so didn't think that would help my laptop connection to the WiFi.  My laptop doesn't even list my router in available connections.

Hi jimbly

I'm sorry to hear this.

Can I just check, have you tried factory resetting the router using the pin hole reset for ten seconds?
