When downloading a game or app I notice that my download speed is constantly changing it jumps from around 25mbps to as low as 1mbps is this supposed to be doing this or is there a problem with my router?

Hi
All tests this end are clear so no issues are identified remotely.
To try and get to the bottom of this, I've a different model router on the way.
as soon as this arrives and is connected, let me know so that the latest firmware can be pushed and this will allow us to use a new network utility we have access to, that can record data from the router and show the speed and throughput over a time range. This can help us to identify speed fluctuations such as these.
Thanks
Karl.

The router has now been up for 24 hours and the problem is getting worse I honestly do not know why I renewed my contract I'm paying over £60 a month for really bad internet this is not acceptable and why was I sent a router older than my current one?

Hi Robpro,
Ok thanks for confirming this. Which router are you using? (make and model) Have you also tried switching the router off for a full 30 minutes and then retested the speed again?
Thanks

Hi Robpro,
I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault and the sync speed looks ok. Just to confirm, are you connected wired or wireless when the speed drops?
Thanks
