No landline at the property

Moving to a new property, landline socket is present but as the property has been empty via a probate sale everything is disconnected.

This is the property profile.

However TalkTalk are only listing ADSL as a choice, is this because the search systems need to see a active connection to check for FTTC ?

Would an upgrade be possible after installation.

Neighbour two doors away is on TT fibre 65 package as a sidenote.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

@66sep

That information is from BT Wholesale/Openreach, nothing to do with any specific provider. So it seems that the best you can get at present is an FTTC connection i.e. copper cable from your local cabinet. That means you should be able to get a VDSL service. Which would include a Fibre 65 package. Have you contacted TalkTalk directly?

Phone 03451 720088 or use Chat to talk to them, @66sep, but there are still many places that don't actually have FTTC (it can be limited by capacity in the cabinet too, so your neighbour having it doesn't necessarily mean it can be made available to you yet).

Some lines are on exchanges that may bypass FTTC but give the option of FTTP if the infrastructure for the area has been put in.

You can but ask, but they won't know very far ahead what possible upgrades will become available, and if you try to do it to your own timing there might be a fee for the change of plan etc. On the other hand, if you're lucky, they themselves might offer you a free upgrade when it suits them.

Rather few definites, I'm afraid, so contact Talktalk directly during the day.
