Hi guys
this in relation to my father. He has been without broadband since Tuesday
I have just been around and tested the landline and there is no dial tone. The line is dead
his telephone number is in the private notes of my account as im posting on hos behalf
i believe it requires an open reach engineer to come out. As there has to be a connection issue somewhere and its not this side of his line
The router is flashing red indicating no DSL signal and the landline its self has no dial tone

we called the number yesterday and got the situation sorted. You guys got open reach to dispatch an engineer out from today
according to my Dad they were there just after 8am this morning and managed to reconnect the phone line restoring access
he is over the moon!
thank you guys too for your help in getting to be a authorised person to deal with his account
he is 71 and just had a hip replacement and recovering from a horrible chest infection
he knows how to use a smart phone and computer but if anything goes wrong or encounters an issue it throws him and then he left alone unsure what todo
which he then will call me and get around to his as soon as i can
talk talk have also added him to a priority service too for getting things sorted quickly

Forum support is online only, and they are not on here from later today and over the weekend.
Longterm you might need to be set up as Nominated User or with Power of Attorney etc so that when you need to help your Dad, verification is more straightforward whether through forum support, or by using Chat or phoning 03451 720088.

Here is the number to our customer service department 03451720088 who will be able to assist him moving forward, he can contact them between the times Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm ; Saturday - 9am - 6pm ; Sunday - Closed, they will refer your dad to our technical team who will assist him further or he can also register/ reach out here on community for us to assist him further and look into this for him, thanks.

but he isn't technically minded so he doesn't have much of a clue about these things
he just wants his internet restored
you are more than welcome to call him on his mobile phone with that number he has attached to his account if you need confirmation
